Since 2007, I’ve caught the specialty coffee virus, in part thanks to Bart & Peter Deprez from 'Viva Sara coffee roastery' (Belgium). The Deprez brothers were my mentors in preparing for my participation in the 2009 Belgian Barista Championship, where I landed 1st place. The year after, I became vice-champion.

After several years working as a barista and manager in coffee bars, I decided to share my passion and focus on giving barista workshops and coffee tastings. With the establishment of my first business, Crema in 2012, I started coffee catering in addition to teaching. In 2016, Crema changed to Tropix, with an additional focus on coffee consulting and coffee roasting.

These days, you can find me in Boquete, Panama, where I give Coffee Farm Tours, Barista Workshops and Barista Hospitality Training.
